A lovespoon is a decorated wooden spoon.

The custom of giving lovespoons carved by a young man and presented to his sweetheart as a token of his affection and/or betrothal originated in Wales during the 17th century. The earliest known lovespoon dates from 1667 and is part of a collection at the Museum of Welsh Life in St. Fagans near Cardiff. Today, the custom has expanded to include weddings, anniversaries and friendship gifts.

I've tried to give you the best photos possible of the actual carving you will receive. However, I understand that it's difficult to see what a carving really looks like without having it in your hand. I want you to feel confident about purchasing one of my carvings so please feel free to return any purchase, for any reason, for a full refund.

Sorry, I do not accept commissions. Woodcarving is my hobby and I like the freedom of being able to carve what I want when I want.
